Mark and 2 friends will be joining team Sakala in challenging themselves to undertake a Wing Walk. They are raising money for two Sussex charities and the event will take place on Wednesday 10th July 2019 at Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Aveley Road, Upminster, Essex RM14 2TN.
They’ve raised over £3,000 for Safe in Sussex who offer a range of services to deal with domestic abuse throughout West Sussex. From safe temporary supported accommodation for women and their children to a domestic abuse drop in centre providing support, signposting and information for the whole community, to innovative programmes to support and empower women to understand and recover from abusive relationships.
The other charity is Kangaroos who deliver fun and social activities in a supported setting for young people with learning difficulties and complex medical needs. With a range of groups and offering year-round fun for both the children and young adults with their families, everyone can take part in new experiences and enjoy trips out. Weekend, evening, after school and holiday clubs are crafted to suit sporting, play and social needs with an excellent level of care.
Mark has been training for 6 months and has achieved a 2 stone weight loss to undertake the challenge in the sky!
